Somebody is going to boot a 70 yard field goal in denver

Almost every franchise kicker's longest field goal is in Denver. Longest punts, field goals,... folk last year hit a 56 yarder that looked like a 40 yarder. Yesterday Z kicked a 63 yarder and he said he didn't even get his all. The altitude there is crazy.... That place is a kickers wet dream. Denver should never go a season without not being in the 10 in points scored. 50 yard field goals are chip shots there.

As far as Iam concerned.... the original 63 yarder was done by a man who has a foot and a half. THAT is some record!

    Tom Dempsey.....

In terms if hitting the ball squarely, i'd agree. I'd like to see a comparison in the power you can put into a kick toe vs. normal 'soccer style' kick. I'd guess you can put more 'leg' behind a soccer style kick than the good ole' straight forward toe.

Janikowski doesn't need the altitude. He didn't even hit that one cleanly last night.

A few years ago I saw him miss a 61 yarder in Oakland that hit about 70% of the way up on the upright. Would have been good from 70, easy.

One day when they're up big late in the game, they should stop their drive at about their own 48 and let him have a go from 70.

He's also far more accurate than people give him credit for. His % is lower than it would be because Oakland is so comfortable letting him kick 55+ yarders. Once they're inside the 40, he's coming out no matter what.

preferably against todd haley and the chiefs...at least they wouldn't be accused of running up the score settling for a field goal as opposed to scoring a td
