    Patrick Turner activated

Not much to say about it beyond the title. I like the move - sub him in goal line packages over mason. Burress, Holmes and Turner with Keller should help us inside the 10

Patrick Turner - WR - Jets
Jets activated WR Patrick Turner from their practice squad.

    Very happy to hear this.

I know we shouldn't get all worked up over the next Clowney, but I really like Turner--he was the one guy I didn't want to see get picked off our PS.

Now go out and DO something

Interesting. I hope it doesn't have anything to do with Mason's perfomance against Dallas.

Personally think it has a lot to do with how our offense will be this season...

30 passes for Sanchez a game will not be abnormal...

I wouldn't read too much into this.

Unless there's an injury we don't know about, it's not a huge deal.

I do wonder who's spot he took.

it does, but not directly. i think the jets know that mason and/or burress is going to get banged up at some point this season and are bound to miss time. this is a player that knows the system and sanchez and could fill in for a few weeks.

    JennyVrentas Jenny Vrentas

Turner's promotion raises injury questions. But Holmes, Burress, Mason and Kerley are all dressed and taking part in drills

Andrew Sendejo, I would think. Open roster spot since he was cut yesterday.

    I don't think it does.

The Jets had only 4 healthy WRs when they cut Gilyard (Payne is useless with broken wrist) so Turner replaces Gilyard.

I think Trufant took Gilyards place on the roster. Trufant scored the TD on the blocked punt, so it was a good move.

I don't think this has anything to do with mason. Mason caught 3 balls (1 for a first down and one that should have been a first down but he an uncharacteristic brain freeze). The ball in the endzone should have been caught, but I doubt that they will hold that against him. he seemed to be off balance.

but the fact that he already caught 3 passes and was targeted on the play to the endzone shows me that the team has faith in him and I doubt it was lost after game 1.

Turner may be called up for special teams purposes or for matchup purposes. Just don't think he is anywhere near usurping Mason for the number 3 WR role.

Maybe another team was looking to sign him so Jets activated him to 53 man roster to prevent it.

Was thinking the same, as well as the fact the Jets only had 4 WR's healthy on roster, need depth, not a big deal here, they gave Gilyard a tryout, I like Turner, we needed another big WR on the roster behind Plax.

Still think they should cut McIntyre and add Maybin, Mac can go to PS.

    Agreed, I don't think he's going to unseat Mason, as he's working the slot. I think it's a combination of;

--we only have 4 WRs active period, and Turner is (at this point) light years better than Kerley

    --Someone was eyeing our sh*t

--I like Turner in the redzone. I really do. that's he's bread and butter. He's the kind of WR you sub in and the Defense thinks "running play" and then it's turner for 6.

    JEEZ! let it go!

McIntyre is on basically EVERY ST unit for Westoff!

Maybin is 25 pounds lighter and not employed by any NFL team
