I'm pissed off about bye weeks.

Why on earth would the Jets have to face two consecutive teams coming off a bye? There are 32 teams in this league. One bye apiece. Am I wrong, or doesn't that mean that each team should only have to face another team coming off a bye once per season? With us facing two, does that give some other team (probably the patsies) a free pass, with no off-the-bye opponent during that season?

Same reason why the Jets had an impossible three-game road stretch. Or why they have to play on SNF and then again the next week on Thursday night.

Don't forget the Jets are coming off a short week b/c of MNF.

our sked sucks all around. 3 straight road games, the last being at Ravens and at Pats. Then later we play the Pats on a Sunday night, then have to go to Denver for a Thursday night game.

Well considering that teams are sucking coming off bye weeks due to all the new CBA rules, this may not be a bad thing.

Teams who came off a bye week so far in 2011 are 1-5. There's only one weeks worth of data to go by so it's probably not enough data to qualify as a trend. One thing that is interesting about this year though is that with the new CBA teams are forced to give there players 4 consecutive days off in the bye week. Rex has always done this for the Jets and they are 0-2 coming off the bye in his tenure.

I hate the bye weeks for a lot of reasons, have you guys seen the nfl schedule the next 2 weeks and then look what team have off tomorrow and next Sunday. Its awful games, the SNF and MNF are pathetic. Where did you hear 2 bye weeks next year?

By the way those coming off a bye have a losing record this year!

Nope, try again, New England just played Dallas, who as you may have guessed by this point, had just come of of their bye.
