This kid wants to be a JET. He played well last week and I am sure he will stay on the roster now. Teams are now aware of him and his ability. MTV, POHA and ELLIS! Tremendous size for sure. Throw in Big Mo and wow!

Depth on the DL cant argue this. If a rotation of fresh bodies is needed to get the job done.

I'm not sure if this is because DeVito may not play, but I'm in favor of this move. Martin Tevaseu is a big kid at 325 pounds, and should be able to help us against the run from time to time. I can't complain about having depth inside the trenches. It's not like Payne has helped us at all. He hasn't even seen the field, so this has to be an addition by subtraction at the very least. I'm not sure why it took 6-7 weeks before he was placed on the IR, but then again, maybe team doctors/coaching staff/Payne all thought he'd recover from injury. But yea, I enjoyed what I seen our of Tevaseu during the preseason. Although just a sample size.

If the Jets were to line up in a 4-3 defense from time to time, in obvious run situations, with Wilkerson and Ellis as DE's, along with both Pouha and Tevaseu as NT's... They'll form for a defensive front that weighs 1,311 pounds between the 4 of them. Just a crazy thought.

    4-3 is the better option.

Wilkerson is a gap-shooting 43 DT ala Trevor Pryce

Ellis, MTV, and Pouha are 43 DT/NTs

In a 43, Pace, Maybin and Westerman would be the typical DEs

    Don't forget Ropati

Only problem I see from a 4 man line is that Harris does not have the speed to be the mlb in a 4-3

That's where you belonged the whole season

You waste of a precious roster space. Maybin could have been on the team sooner.

Now Tevesau can add to a run defense that is out of wack!

Is it me or do we make a LOT of seemingly unnecessary moves?

We played MTV last week and he played pretty decent.

Then we outright release him, exposing him to being claimed

    We sign Eron Riley

MTV clears waivers luckily and is signed to PS

    We IR Logan

We resign MTV to active roster

I don't get it to be honest, and we do things like this ALL the time

What he is saying they should of ir'd Payne and signed Riley of the broncos without exPosing MTV to Teams..

Payne never made any sense to me tohold on to the roster for 7 weeks when no team would sign a fringe player coming off wrist surgery...
