Mike Wallace unhappy already; escorted off the field by Jeff Ireland

CLEVELAND -- Mike Wallace, the Miami Dolphins' $60 million wide receiver, was unhappy after Sunday's season-opening victory over the Cleveland Browns, according to a newspaper report.
Wallace had one reception for 15 yards in his Miami debut, a 23-10 victory. He was targeted five times by quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

"I don't feel like talking," Wallace told the Miami Herald while on his way out of the locker room.
When another reporter pressed Wallace by asking about the game plan, the receiver said, "I don't feel like talking about it. Ask Coach."
The Herald said Wallace was visibly angry immediately after the game and was escorted off the field by Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland.
Tannehill said Cleveland doubled Wallace for much of the game, which allowed Brian Hartline(nine receptions, 114 yards) and Brandon Gibson (seven receptions, 77 yards) to have big games.
"I think they did a lot of things to take [Wallace] away," Tannehill said. "They clouded him and put a guy over the top. It's frustrating for him and our offense, as well. We want to give him the ball, and he's going to play a big factor in this offense the rest of the year. Today just wasn't the day for him."
The Dolphins signed Wallace to a five-year contract in the offseason. He was one of the top-rated players in free agency.

    What a circus.

If this happened with the Jets, the media would definitely spin it as part of the "Jets circus".

    And they won

Couldn't be happier the Dolphins signed this douche to a 60 million contract

After all the hype I can't wait for the Dolphins to under perform. They overpaid for Wallace who is a one trick pony that they paid for with money that should have gone to Jake Long. They have last year's Bills written all over them - a team that makes a big splash and is expected to fight for the division title and does jack ****.

Apparently, someone forgot to let Mike know that when you're being doubled, your TEAM-mates aren't and get opportunities to make plays like Hartline did. But I guess there is an 'I' in Mike so that explains it....

Absolutely. What a piece of crap. Instead of saying , "Well the positives of me being quadrupled-teamed out there today was that my teammates reaped the benefits and we won."

Instead he is being an angry cry baby. Send in the clowns.

I was also unhappy. He would have killed me in fantasy if not for Victor Cruz.

When it comes to the end of the season they are going to realize they should have kept Bush and let this self centered ego go

I'm not happy about it either, after all, he got me 2 freeken points on my fantisy team. I said it when I picked him, he is either going to blow up or open other receivers up, I had a 50/50 shot and I came up on the wrong side.

Holmes was doing the same thing last year before he got hurt. WR are diva's you have to put up with it when you have a great one like Fitz, but not with 2nd rate guys like Holmes or wallace.

Already thought this was a great signing but this just seals the deal.

Didnt they just trade Marshall who is better for pretty much the same reason? Wallace is an upgrade from Bess but is not an elite WR. He needs to shut up.

The talent management on that team is LAUGHABLE!

Brandon Marshall, one of the best WRs in the game, get rid of him just before you bring in a rookie QB.

Reggie Bush, played stellar last year with them, they reward him by letting him loose...

Jake Long, sure his play declined a bit but he was still a very good LT and they could have gotten him for cheaper. If you're not sold on this one then fine, but wouldn't have been smart to pick up a top 2-3 LT in the draft when they traded EVERYTHING to move up?

So, you let those go to free up money, and you BLOW cash on guys who have only played well in spurts, throwing money that's lit on fire to guys like Mike "I run one route, and I run it well" Wallace, Danelle "Never played a full game in my life to merit the money on my paycheck" ellerbe...yeah I know guys I'm pretty nifty with the nicknames.

You get the point here tho. Somehow they still have good value guys, like Cameron Wake, but they're working HARD to bury them and will probably refuse to resign them on modest contracts thinking they can strike gold with high draft picks.
