We've all heard from the media and fans on Rex's future.

But how do the players that are getting the coaching? They should have more of a say this than anyone. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/fo...icle-1.1553391

Oh yea, that's how you decide to keep a players coach, ask the players, lol!
If that was the case the Giants including Michael Strahan would have told the Maras to fire coughin, the year they went to & won a Super Bowl vs the concensus best team of the decade, a team that would have gone 19-0 if not for coughlins coaching experience.
All coaches run their course with the same team, hence, Andy Reids success now in KC after being Jettisoned by Philly.
    Worked out for both franchises.

Is there a coach who has done less with more than Schwartz in Detroit? And yet...

Don't believe the spin. The reason you are seeing these articles now is because they don't have playoff football to write about for either NY team.

Rex isn't going anywhere; they just need to sell papers.

THEY DID!! Most of the Giants players HATED Coughlin. All the fans wanted him gone and Strahan said he would NOT come back unless something changed. If the Maras caved into the fans they wouldn't have those super bowls. The players spoke up and Coughlin changed his ways. The Jets should stick to this kind of model, stop the revolving door of coaches and keep Rex!!

Players backing a players' coach ... shocking! Richardson, Nelson, Colon... all have been on the team for less than a calendar year. Where is Mangold, Brick, and Harris backing up their coach?

I don't think Rex needs to change much. Give his team a QB who doesn't lead the league in turnovers , get some playmakers on offense and let Marty do his thing with the O. Just think how good his defense would be without all the turnovers. All the extra chances we give the other teams offense, the crap field position the defense gets off those turnovers. Rex's defense is ranked high every year. If we get an offense that doesn't kill us we have a chance to be great.

Jason Garrett comes in as a close second....only because Romo shares a large portion of the blame there....

Fortunately for us if one poster here had his way.....Jason Garrett would come to save us all from despair in 2014

It doesn't matter who the QB or playmakers are on O , Rex sees turnovers or a formidable opposing D and he reverts to his security blanket G&P. Rex hasn't changed from this mentality in 5 years what makes anyone think it will happen with new players , hell he has a quality OC now and he still pulled this crap.

“If he came down here and asked I think every single guy in here would stand up and have Rex’s back,” Nelson said. Right there and with the season officially over for us if the players felt like Rex was the problem don't you think they would voice it? If they felt like they couldn't win with Rex don't you think the players would recognize it? And wasn't Mangold the first player to back Rex Ryan when Wes Welker took his foot shots?

Geno has 20 more attempts in less games the Sanchez had his rookie year. And I agree Rex should dial up some go routes and hope Kerley forms into Randy Moss.

Yeah half the roster who are likely playing for their jobs are gonna come out and say Rex is the problem, do you hear what your saying.

Difference is the team was built to run in Sanchez rookie season. No Rex should simply do what he stated he would do in the offseason and let MM run the offense, when Rex starts demanding the O gets scaled back the O looks like crap.

are playing for they're jobs? Do you hear yourself? But just for arguments sake if "half the roster" is playing for they're jobs. It would make a TON of sense for a 6 win team with 2 weeks to go to throw the coach under the bus. Once again they would say "Hey you try and pull out 6 wins with Rex as your HC" Wonder why you don't hear any of that? Why would future HOF player like LT and Damien Woody who have played for Rex waste they're time to come out and say how good of a coach Rex is? Why would a HOF coach like Mike Westhoff come out and say "Give Rex one more you with talent on offense"? That's 3 HOF who no longer have to back Rex up but clearly you know more then they do...

And the offense is build to what right now? Run Why? Because there is 1 talented player at the receiver position. Loaded contracts are the reason the team is where it is. I know pea brains such yourself don't understand it because your football knowledge is that of a 11 year old playing madden. If Rex gave the key's to Geno this year and let him throw as much as say Brees or Rivers you and all the sojf would be calling for Rex to get fired because he doesn't the personal on the roster and didn't run the ball enough. A good portion of the fans on here just love to complain.

David Nelson who came off his couch to join the Jets in week 5, 30 year old Willie Colon who joined the Jets this year and a rookie. Not really a vote of confidence.

Landry, Reed , Wilson, Pace, Hill, Holmes, Colon, Winters, Powell Cumberland, Winslow just for starters. And again do you hear what your saying do you think a football player who has any desire to maintain employment will come out and openly say they believe the coach should go, this isn't the NBA players who bash their coach get blacklisted unless their a super star and we don't have any of those outside of maybe Mo and Srich
