Dude, you don't have a clue. Smith.as a rookie, with less weapons, is as good of a QB, as Sanchez ever was.

Sanchez played QB in the NFL for 5 full seasons, finishing his 5th worse then his first - that means he has hit his ceiling and it is NOT as an NFL Starter.

There is nothing else to say

Take into account the situation Sanchez was in. Take into account the situation Geno was in. If you put them both on level footing, Sanchez would be a better QB.

    2013 would've been Sanchez's 5th season

What the hell are you talking about?

Was Geno's supporting cast so much better than Sanchez's last year? And Mark was a 4th year starter, Geno was a rookie.

And I saw something from Geno in his rookie year that Mark never showed in his 4 years as a starter...improvement.

Sanchez is as good as gone. The guy already sucked before and now he's coming off labrum surgery to his throwing shoulder.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but regardless of what you think, Sanchez is as good as gone. I'm unsure why you would think otherwise. Feel free to root for him as the back-up for whatever NFL franchise decides to sign him (as a back-up)

Jim Plunkett,Rich Gannon would disagree.. Gannon was a 4 time pro bowler and 2 time All Pro and he didn't do crap till his 12th season.. Vinny didn't do much his first 6 seasons either..

Geno put up better numbers his rookie year than Sanchez did his rookie year with a far worse supporting cast.

These guys are few and far between.

There are far more Joey Harrington's, Matt Leinart's, Rex Grossman's, Vince Young's and Mark Sanchez's than there are Steve Young's, Jim Plunkett's or Rich Gannon's.

Sanchez sucks, is coming off labrum surgery to his throwing shoulder, and saves us $9 million if he's cut.

He's already gone as far as I'm concerned.

Ignore the distinct possibility that mark is going to be cut.

Fact is Mark couldn't even beat Geno when Geno was a rookie. Mark was never named starter over Geno and never showed any reason why he should be. No way in hell he beats out Geno this year. Geno will have a full year under his belt and a full camp. Assuming Mark is on the roster this coming season he won't have an early head start with the playbook like he did this year. He won't have the benefit of competing against a raw rookie like he did last summer.

Consider the fact that Mark is still on the roster and "The Stork" a.k.a. Cromartie just said that Geno is the guy, as opposed to the injured former starter.

LMFAO really? Please provide some context to your post I'd love to hear it.

Is it the fact that that as a rookie Mark had a better oline and wrs than Geno had as a rookie.
Geno has the better OC and that is about it.

Cromartie couldn't even name his own kids. I don't think he's a good source.

Mark would have won the QB battle had Rex brain not crashed in that Giants game.

Keep in mind the roles both QBs were in and how well they both performed them.

Ditto + 1000 further his mere presence will cause a divide on the team just as it does here. A team divided will FAIL. Suckchez must go elsewhere. Besides for such an expensive QB he sucks!

Mark was ranked below BACKUPS last year. Let me repeat that Mark as a QB was rated lower than BACKUPS. He was ranked something like 36 in a league with 32 teams.

Geno at least was a ROOKIE. Say it with me now R-oo-kie. With a team that was in its first year of a new offense with worse players on offense than last year when the mark supporters blamed everyone else other than mark.

Mark sucked ass as a fifth year vet, and yet somehow that makes him a shoe in to beat the guy that just set a jets rookie passing yardage record. Mark was carried to success those first two years, as soon as he had to shoulder some weight the team crumbled. Think before you type.

Mr Red light Green light a.k.a. Sanchez was told to hand the ball off and get out of the way.

Geno had to run the offense, and he did so with almost no wrs due to constant injuries and a poor online that let people through immediately on a regular basis.

I wasn't talking about the Jets my point was it's not inconceivable he could play well on another team..
