it looks like a very real possibility that casinos will soon be built in the Poconos. Land in the area could become a fantastic investment. Buy it now before the value rises dramaticaly. This could possibly be better than stocks. Then right now anything is.

They're building one in the Catskills, too, J.

You can lose all your money, and not even have to leave NY.

I heard that too Jetman67 and with the new train coming, I think we R going to see alot of New York moving up there really soon.

I have to get off my duff and and start looking for investment properties in Carbon and Cherry Valley myself. B)

First I am happy for the coonecticut indians, though I don't think they are real indians (red hair, blue eyes, what ever happened to Tonto)
But the places are fun for a boring state.

Upon first glance, I thought Petey misspelled Connecticut by mistake...after reading his post, I see it was no accident.

Not that you care, Petey, but it is the Pequot (Foxwoods) and Mohegan (Mohegan Sun)...not "coon" necticut Indians...

Havent we subjected those people and their ancestors to enough? Is it necessary to poke fun at them on this board?

AND WHERE IS THE BIG OUTCRY TO THIS POST??? C'MON ALL YOU DAMN HYPOCRITES!!!!!

I used to have respect for SOME of you people on this board...

I believe the only group it is technically 'cool' to poke fun at anymore is white males.

Prices in Sullivan County began to rise about a year ago because of casino rumors where my brother has a summer place.

I live in the Poconos also and I think casinos are a ways off. Though they have just started opening those simulcast horse racing restaurants all over.
