I'd prefer it if the YANKEES kill you!

Then I hope the cubs make it to the World Series so we can beat them as well.

Then you'll both still be cursed!

    Of course.

I do not worry about Pedro. He will be himself, I just wish the middle of the order would produce. I had to get my foam TV brick everytime Manny grounded or struck out with people on.

Plus, the thought of Zito and that sick ass curve worries me.

I think the Sox need to score at least 3 runs to win. I am cautiously optimistic.

    G-

I was at the game yesterday, watching the Pats and getting updates on the Sox game from some folks I quickly befriended. The high and lows I felt for three plus hours was incredible. I turned to a friend and said "this is what I love about sports. The lows and disappointment can turn to euphoria in a matter of seconds." The fact that sometimes your emotional investment pays off. The coming together of people....all kinds of people.....for one common cause, forgetting for the moment any differences we may have. It's unbelievable.

Obviously I hope for the best tonight, but I thank this year's Red Sox team for one hell of a fun, wacky ride!

    Tough to say.

1.) The Red Sox will choke. It's a given.

2.) Before the Sox choke, they NEED to give us hope and get us hopelessy hooked.

3.) Which is a bigger heartbreak, losing to the Atheltics tonight or the Yankees? I say the Yankees.

So, we will advance and lose to the Yankees, IMO. Doesn't matter...the heart break is INEVITABLE. We will never win the World Series, ain't gonna happen.

Oakland had their chance to put the Sox away Saturday and Sunday and blew it both times.

Now they are facing Pedro with full rest and facing the aspect of losing 9 straight series closing games.

I think the A's are already a beaten team. This one could be no contest.

I think the move back to the west coast favors Oakland.

It would be fun to beat Boston 4 games to 1 in the ALCS, but I don't think the Sox are gonna show.

Finally the defining moment for Pedro. Time to put up or shut up. Full rest, chance to close out and lead your team to the next round. I think he will dominate the A's. The A's outfield rivals the Mets for the worst production I have ever seen? Zito will keep it close but Sox 4-1. Pedro goes 7 strong, of course your bullpen will give you ulcers but there ain't enough pop in the A's lineup. Onto the ALCS.

objectively, Pedro on full rest trumps Zito on 3 days of rest. Barry hasn't been quite as lights out as he has been in years past and he's not randy Johnson in his prime (meaning he needs his rest)

    Red Sox win.

Doesn't matter, though a 17-inning, pitcher-consuming hitfest with all starters getting used would be nice.

Thats my main concern. We can only pray he hangs a few working on only 3 days rest.

Hyped - You nailed it buddy........
