Thread: PREDICT the SCORE..JETS vs EAGLES

  1. #1
After last week's un-believably strong showing by our resident crew of geniuses, the slate is now washed clean. McNabb has been struggling, but Detmer is no better as a replacement. The Jets have won 2 straight, and need this game badly.
In spite of that, Vegas still has us as 3 point underdogs.(Ahh, what do they know&#33.Pick the winning team, the final score, and the stand-out players and their stats. Good luck.

The Eagles current suckitude evens this game out. The Eagles are probably expecting to win, so they'll lose. McNabb would be able to tear the Jets a new one on most days, but he's lame for some reason; I hope he figures it out sometime after the Jets game. Our DB's suck, but thankfully, their receiving corps sucks even more. It'll be close, either way. Martin isn't rushing for anywhere near 100 yards; Jordan+Martin will get 75 yards, max. Our OL is still outmatched by most DL's, and the Eagles DL won't roll over. Pennington will throw for 300+ yards with 2 TD 0 INT.
It's gonna be great to see Chad play again; this is the most excited I've been so far this season. This game is a turning point: it's 3-4 or 2-5. The difference is huge.

Not pretty but effective, Chad looks O.K in debut but it's hard to see our offense lighting it up against quality Philly defense.

"Lead by a ferocious pass rush that sacked Eagles Q/B D. McNabb 4 times and harassed him numerous other times, the Jets defeated the Eagles by a score of 24-10. Mcnabb threw for 166 yards, but was picked off twice, and fumbled once while scrambling to avoid the Jets pass rush. The Philadelphia offense managed only 214 total yards on the day.

Curtis Martin rushed for 92 yards and 1 TD, helping Chad Pennington in his first game back this season. Pennington was 11-16, for 157 yards and 1 TD, to Curtis Conway, after taking over for Vinny T., who started and played into the 2nd quarter. Vinny was 6-10, for 81 yards and also tossed a TD to Santana Moss, who had another big day, with 5 catches for 87 yards, as well as 3 punt return for 71 yards, including a 41 yard return that set up the final Jet TD.
