The guy built the Steelers, was high on Pennington, and a draft guru. The jury is still out on Bradway but we sure could have used him.

Haley has stepped down on his own volition. He was part of the draft last year.

That Scott Frost recommendation was great-Just Kidding

Didn't he announce his intentions to step down several years ago, but delayed due to the "turmoil" surrounding the Jets after Parcells quit coaching, and the BB quit the next day? I thought he agreed then to stay around a bit longer to provide some stability for the new regime.

Shark MBN and Scott are correct Haley wanted to retire. Word has it the Tuna wanted to coax him out of it but he said no way.

But the decision overall between Haley and the Jets was a mutual one. The Head Scout and GM need to have a close relationship. Bradway and Haley come from different clans.

Right now everything in this organization is going to boil down what the team does on the field next year. It's pretty hard to screw up on the first day of the draft. And I think that if we do well there the Jets will have the majority of the holes plugged

Didnt Haley have some kind of a bout with CANCER? I remember that his step-down was "medical" more than anything else
