JETS NAME BOB CASULLO TIGHT ENDS COACH

The New York Jets today named Bob Casullo to be their tight ends coach.

2004 will mark the fifth season as an NFL coach for Casullo. He joins the Jets following four seasons as the special teams coach of the Oakland Raiders, where he helped lead them to three AFC West Division titles and a Super Bowl XXXVII appearance following the 2002 season. Prior to joining the Raiders, the Little Falls, New York native coached 15 seasons on the collegiate level. He first coached on the college level at Syracuse University from 1985-94, tutoring special teams, tight ends and running backs during his tenure. Casullo then coached at Georgia Tech from 1995-98, coordinating special teams and coaching defensive ends, and then spent one season at Michigan State in 1999, coaching special teams and tight ends. He was an honorable mention All-American running back in his playing days at Brockport (NY) State College and coached on the high school level from 1973-84 in Syracuse.

The hiring rounds out the Jets’ coaching staff, with Dick Curl, the Club’s tight ends coach in 2003, becoming Senior Offensive Assistant/Special Projects, and Jim Hostler, who coached quarterbacks last season, moving over to coach wide receivers.

I hope he brings that "dirty playbook" that Madden wrote for the gayders offense way back when.

Hopefully someone can teach these guys to not fall over blades of grass and get some yards after the catch....catching some easy passes would be nice as well
