Thread: this years team compared to past teams

we have had new players on d the past few years. that seemed to be the built in excuse for slow starts. with all the new players on d this year we are 3-0. while they adjust to each other we are winning. last week we saw how good our lbs can be. hobson, barton and vilma all had strong games. like wayne said- we are winning and it is scary that we havent played our best football yet. when this d and offense click on all cylinders in the same game, watch out.

Youth-speed and aggressive defensive schemes.

The future looks pretty decent for the Jets but it's not like we have been the Cardinals the last few years either! I mean one losing season in the last 7 years is not pathetic.

How about a tremendously weak schedule with two more winless teams up next on the horizon.

Gotta use your phrase on this one freak:

Oh, I forgot about that. The Jets drafted their own schedule this year. Damn they're smart!

This is the NFL.....you play to win

You beat the Colts at home by 3 points after they gave you the ball in the red zone three times.

You beat the Cardinals by 11 points

You beat the Bills after they FUMBLED away a tight game.

This is the NFL and it's assanine to breakdown our competition and schedule.

That pathetic Chargers team we beat are 2-2 and they beat the Titans and also beat a 2-2 Texans team that beat the Raiders. These teams are on our schedule and we got the job done.

You perhaps need to look around the league and see other teams records so far in the league.

What has the Patriots done in 2004 for you to critique the Jets?

We are 3-0 and thats what counts......us Jets fans don't care about the Pats till we play them....thats why I don't have much to say about them till we play them.

To talk about our schedule is assanine...this is the NFL.

Lets see how you do against the Pathetic Dolphins this week.

Tex

now the past two posts are what you call valid!

If you bring something to the table it has to have validity.

Your comment was far from valid..this is the NFL and you play the teams on your schedule and do your best to win...so far the Jets are getting the job done.

Sorry

OK Tex I'm gonna sound like you!!!!

You spoke of the Jets with a weak schedule and playing winless teams.

When you played the colts they were winless
when you played the Cardinals they were winless
when you played the Bills they are winless

The schedule was set up well before pre season started and before Ricky Williams
retired both the Bills and Dolphins were picked ahead of the Jets in the Division.

Right now we are tied with your Chowds.

freak,

The Jets are beating teams they should beat. So far, that's a big difference from previous years.

I know you can not alter the schedule and you play who you have to play.

However, can you honestly say that your weak schedule does not have any correlation to your 3-0 start?

My point is the Jets have yet to be tested by a good football team. Argue all you want, but that is a fact.

Hey, 3-0 is 3-0.

Dont even bother with TEX.....When we step on the Pats twice this year, he will find an excuse as to why we beat them.....

C'mon Tex I know you know football but some of your comments are off the wall.

This is the NFL and you play your schedule to win.

Before pre season who would have thought:

The Packers would be 1-3
The Redskins would be 1-3 (I did!&#33
The Cheifs would be 1-3
The Panthers to be 1-3
The Ravens to be strugging on O
The Bills would be 0-3
The Dolphins would be 0-4 (this is of course before Ricky left and Boston was hurt)

The Panthersmad eit to the superbowl last year and they are struggling.

The Chargers opened a can of whoopass vs the Titans.
The Cardinals beat the Saints
The Texans are 2-2
Steelers are 3-1
All of these teams are on the Jets schedule and none of them are winless

Heloooooooooooooo!!!!!!&#3 3;!!!!!

Just Playing Tex
