Thread: Chad Another Chandler?

1. #1
After a second season with our best player on the sidelines Herm & Badway need to realize this guy may have all the potential in the world but if he can't stay healthy what good is it.

And let's just put it out there, CHAD IS NO WAY 225lbs!!! He's maybe 200lbs. I was amazed at camp this year when I saw how slight he is close up. He needs to bulk up his lower torso and upper body to handle the sacks and shed them better.
This was supposed to be our year.

The 60+mm dollar man needs to workout with CM or he is doomed to be a Chris Chandler with alot of potential never reached because of a history of injuries.

Put the kid on Metrx!!

Bulking him up isnt the answer, he is just to fragile. 64 million down the drain.

Dude, get a paxil. Pennington just needs to add some weight to his frame to avoid some additional damage. Muscle at times acts like a shock absorber, some muscle will aid in his protection.

Actually, he's way stockier than he looks. He's no Brooksie, but he's no Culpepper either.

His bulk is fine he is just fragile ala Foley and they signed him for big money before they found out.

Hopefully next season he won't get hurt and then all of these people can shut up.

Chad has nowhere near the talent Chandler had, arm strength alone Chad can't compete. Unfortunately for Jet fans, it seems that Chad does have the same glass jaw that Chandler did.

What do you base this talent asessment on exactly?

Chad has a career QB rating of 95.6, where Chandler's is 79.8.

Lets see, Chad has played in like 15 games over four years, throws most of his passes to RB behind the line, and builds up a 95% QB rating, I'll tell you what, Vineteri has 155% QB rating from that one TD pass he threw, does that make him a great QB?

Last year's injury was a result of falling on his hand, in a vulnerable position. Even if he was rock solid and built like Culpepper, it still would have broken. This shoulder is his first major injury.

This means he's fragile? I doubt it.

chads 1st injury was freak, this past one was not a freak injury. if it happens again call him injury prone, if favre fell on his wirst it would have snapped too. but not brady, he has hands of steel.

Size and muscle doesn't really matter, some guys are just plain injury-prone. I don't think Doug Flutie has ever been injured in his whole career and he weighs, like 170lbs.

Realistically folks, you might have to start looking beyond the Chadster.

I didn't say anything about anybody being a "Great QB". I just said that I disagreed with your asessment of Chad Vs. Chandler based on what I've seen so far from Chad. As for the "short passing" issue, I'd rather have a guy that's accurate and makes few mistakes, than a guy with a strong arm that's prone to mistakes. It's been shown time and time again, turnovers cost football games.

Do you feel like a big man because your team is 9-1? Is that the reason you troll here everyday...to puff your chest out?

Just wondering because you seem to think that you know what Jet fans think. You seem to mention us in every post. You do realize you are just a fan right?

Oh yeah...I'm pm you about the bet....good call on the Jets going 6-10...absolutely BRILLIANT!

97.4 QB rating and a 6-2 record, sounds good to me.

I imagine it takes a "special" type of person to be a Jet fan.

I could never be one...even if I were born into it.

Too much misery.

I couldn't handle all that pain year after year........
