His drafting here in Detroit was hailed as the second coming of Jesus Christ and Bobby Lane rolled into one.

I think they have Ryan Leaf and Heath Shuler in one instead.

Was kinda hoping that the Lions foolishly would send MacMahon packing, A solid backup who goy pushed aside when they drafted Harrington. MacMahon would be a perfect backup here.

I don't like McMahon's towel that he wears so out of his uniform flopping around, kinda annoying, but other then that, they should start him and bench Joey for the rest of the year, their 4-7, time for a change.

Harrington has yet to step up.. Pennington has, and so has Brees. Still waiting on the 3rd guy from the 2002 list of Q/B's who became starters.

next season is joey's do or die.
he'll have roy williams as a second year guy, same with kevin jones, and rogers might actually play.
the defense has some talent, but didn't show it yesterday.

Remember - he had no running game until yesterday - Kevin Jones played in his 2nd game all year yesterday.

If they can't their running game going, as a viable threat, they will be ok.

Remember, Charlie Rogers is out for the season also, when he comes back, with Jones and Williams at the other wide out - they will have a healthy threat on offense.

Well said. When they had that Sports Illustrated issue a couple of years back about the young quarterbacks who were emerging, it sickened me to see all the focus on this guy (Joey Harrington: "I KNOW I can play this game"), and very little on Pennington, who was only in the process of leading his team to the division title.

Good team or not, he does not look like an effective quarterback.

That's not correct-- Kevin Jones has started 9 games this year.

harrington isnt that bad, its not his fault he has nobody around him to work with, i mean roy williams has been cripped all year and they already lost one starting WR

Joey Harrington sucks just like his Oregon alumnus, Akili Smith sucked. Might i dare say, these two have been pretty lame 'Ducks'.
