    1) We are tied for third in the league for least points allowed.
    1-Baltimore/Philly - 164
    3-Jets/Steelers - 168

    2) We have shut out opponets in the second half five times in 11 games, including four times in 6 games on the road.

    3) We are +14 in Turnovers which is top 5 in the league.

Replacing Ted with Donnie was a GREAT move.

Now, if we could strike similar gold by replacing Paul Hackett, we'd be in good shape!

You forgot that 6 of the 11 guys on defense are new starters as well.

There were alot of people (Numerous Patise fans included) who laughed at me when I said 2 of our best offseason moves were picking up Donnie Henderson and Denny Marcin. I feel pretty damn smart right about now!

I liked Henderson from the start! He comes from a impressive defensive
background being a part of the Ravens Super Bowl defense! And it
appears that Hermie has left him alone 99% of the Time! Hendu needs
no Defense from Fans because his effect is on the field for all to see!
To bad the same can't be said for all our Coaches...

i think one of the most impressive stats is that we have not heard once the famous statement " it will take time for the defense to gel".

Any coach from that Baltimore staff probably would've been able to do what Donnie did. I'm really glad we got him because this defense is finally something to be proud of again and if we continue to play like we did the last 2 weeks, man it's going to be tough for teams the rest of the way.

We would not be 8-3 without Hendu ... this man has done an incredible job

We allow an average of 15.2 points a game. Take away the first 2 games, and we allow and average of 12.8 points per game. Enough said. B)

Henderson has had a great impact on the defense. That and getting some speed in at L/B.

But do not overlook what Marcin has done with teh d. line. That has been the key to this whole scheme. It is obvious that Ruben Carter was a joke. Marcin has basically the same group, and look at what he's done.

How about Marcin with Harper? Harper made some nice plays at D. Tackle yesterday. I had Alvin Harper gone after last season, and here he is, contributing.

My autistic cousin is smarter than PutzFanTx.

It's week 13, the 13th consecutive week this jackass will visit our upcoming opposing team's forum to tell them, that the Jets aren't really that good, and that the team playing the Jets should handle them easily.

Can an assistant coach be named Coach of the Year? Henderson has to be a candidate. B)

Henderson has done a GREAT JOB with the D.

They have gotten faster at LB, Plus the fact that John Abraham is playing at a level he probably never has seen before. D-ROB has become a force and the secondary while not great has been an improvement over last year and will continue to get better.

It is amazing what speed will do. Teams that were running the ball at will the last couple of years aren't this year.

    Cudos to Donnie

The defense has played well due to mostly the DL play. It's too bad they don't have a better secondary because it would be scary.

Very pleased w/ Donnie. Gunther Cunningham, a guy many hoped for, is doing quite a job in KC. Thank god we did not get this recycled NFL retread.

Think how sick this D would be with a healthy secondary.
