Mark Cannizarro in a post game interview asked Hackett where was this offensive production last week vs. Pittsburgh (or the rest of the season for that matter). This is what this guy responds with.......We knew we had to score points this week because Seattle's offensive can score points, and we didn't feel Pittsburgh could score many points on our defense.

Translation = We will be conservative with teams who can't score many points on our defense and just be happy to still be in the game come the 4th quarter.

This is a very sick man the exact reason why I'll never trust him.

    Umm, is Hackett on drugs???

    Pittsburgh's offense isn't explosive???

    Antwaan Randle-El
    Plaxico Burress (did not play)
    Hines Ward
    Duce Staley
    Jerome Bettis
    Ben Roethlisberger
    Jay Reimersma
    Jeremy Tuman
    Willie Parker

The Steelers offense is one of the most explosive offenses in the league, that's why they are nearly undefeated. Ben plays conservative, lets his wide receivers make him look like the next Dan Marino, and everyone in Pittsburgh is happy. The Steelers may not hang up a lot of points on teams but they have guys at every position, two deep, who can take it to the HOUSE.

Why is it not surprising that this thread does not accompany an actual quote?

 Hey blind Hackett hating is fine by me. It's when they pull these shenanigans with Herm that annoys the hell out of me.

P.S. The Big Lebowski is my favorite movie of all-time.

I wonder if this is not Herm Edwards passing down those instructions. I find it hard to believe an OC would decide to open it up or play conservative on his own. This sounds like Herm or Dungy pre-manning.

Why ruin a perfectly good BS thread with things like facts.
