I have seen the outpouring of kindness from the people on this board, most of you know someone who has been affected by this terrible disease. I had the priveledge of raising money for Team in Training and their battle against Leukemia this Thanksgiving when I ran a half marathon. I'll be much haapier when I stop receving these request's, Thank you all for you help.

Hi everyone,
This little boy Nick is best friends with a young boy at my church. We have been following his battle with leukemia, and, sadly, Nick is not expected to live much longer. Please take a moment to send a Christmas/holiday card to him and help him fulfill his final wish. This was what he wished for from the Make a Wish foundation…

Please help with a Christmas wish!
Nick Waters is an 11 year old boy who appears to be in the final stage of leukemia and he would like to set a record this Christmas. He is trying to set the record for most Christmas cards received by one person. Please help Nick by sending a Christmas card to:

Nick Waters
304 Meadow Pointe
Canton, GA 30115

... and please remember to keep Nick and his family in your prayers.

Not true. This is an old, not particularly creative hoax.

Or: http://www.wish.org/home/chainletters.htm

Sorry.

Snopes.com is an awesome site that debunks urban legends. No shame in getting taken. I'm just a bit more cynical than most.

You must have had to search like 50 pages to find my post just to show I was wrong. Wow. I commend your dedication.

Guess I was wrong on that one, but like they said on the snopes.com site a plea like this had been made before.

It's not like I spat on the kid....

This site has a search engine, so it took me about 2 seconds to find your post. I have no personal interest in proving you wrong, so no need to get defensive. I was just surprised to learn that it wasn't a hoax.
