We are a better team than the rams but the jets have not won any of their "big" games the entire season and this week its their biggest game and its on the road. I think they'll win but I dont feel confident. What do u people think will go down on sunday?

not me...since the Parcells era the Jets have been pretty resilient team. There have been plenty of times this season when they could've mailed it in (after the tough losses to Buffalo and Baltimore and after Pittsburgh) yet came back with good performances.

The mantra of the 2005 Jets is this....

The best the teams they are SUPPOSED to beat. They lose every time to teams that would be considered "elite" NFL squads, the teams the Jets are NOT assumed to beat.

The Rams handly qualfy as an elite team in 2004. They are also not a team that would be considered a "Big Game" if this game was played in week 5. They, like Seattle, are a medicre NFL team, a team unable to beat the lowly Dolphins at home (yes, not a sure bet...see Pats/Phins).

Herm has shown that his teams CAN and DO win the "Big Last Game to get In", having done it twice in his three years he's been with us.

This is a defining game of the Herm Edwards Era. Winning this game is VERY important, as it salvages the best start in jets history as a playoff berth, gets us in the dance (and as everyone knows, you gotta be in to have a shot) and makes us a three times of four season playoff team. No, it doesn;t make up for Herm's shortcoming as a X & O coach, but it still gives me hope.

I refuse to forsake the Jets and lose hope they can win this game. They have superior talent IMO, and ARE the better team this year.

I think they can and will pull it off, and get us in as the #5 Seed.

Collapse coming on? How much more could this team collapse compared to the implosions vs. Pittsburgh and the Chouds? The 04 Jets are developing into a premier team but are absolutely work in process. When the offense doesnt click or is held down by "safe" play call and the D is on the field 70% of the time - we are in position to lose football games. Especially to playoff teams. Better to find out now than to live in false hope for next year. And if changes need to be made - lets hope somebodys got the stones to make them so we can continue to grow into a championship caliber team. We ain't beating anybody if we play like we did in our last 2 losses. Stupid penalties could kill a good effort on both sides of the ball too.

My perpetually pessimistic self predicts a Jets win.

I think Bulger will wish he hadn't woken up that day

I don't see a collapse, but a competitive game at least, plus another brainfart by Jake Plummer vs. the Colts secures a playoff spot no matter what.
