he'd look good in green and we need a CB. But the price might be too high.

Hes a restricted free agent. Similiar to McCariens I would think in getting tendered a first. I would GLADLY trade him for a second however...

He's a RFA and he'd want way too much money for his over-rated self.

How is he over rated? Does anyone ever talk about him on ESPN as being the best? I dont ever hear that... I think he would be a good pickup. Everyone costs money.

You are 100% correct. Anyone with half a brain would agree with you.

Living in D.C., perhaps I see more of Mr. Fred "I Wish I Were Dion" Smoot than some, and he is a damn fine cornerback. He plays the run relatively well for a CB, and is a legit NFL #1 CB. He would be an upgrade over ALL of the CB's on the current Jets roster, easily.

Is he worth what he would likely want or what it would cost to aquire him, $$$ and picks wise? Likely not, especially if we can draft a quality CB in rounds 1 or 2.

Honestly, this is all a (s)moot point anyway, as Mr. Smoot is unlikely to even think of signing elsewhere. He loves D.C., the Skins are working on his long-term deal as we speak, and he will likely be wrapped up before the Super Bowl (or at worst, shortly thereafter). Danny "Paycheck" Snyder pays well, and unlike Bailey, he's going to pay Smoot.

I like Smooth, don't get me wrong, but i'd rather have Ken Lucas or Gary Baxter with a big WR then just Smoot.
