I am a huge supporter of bringing Baxter here.

He just finished up his 4th year so he's young and he's worked with DHend before and he exelled at his type of defensive system for DB's in Baltimore, so he would probably be able to do well here as well. Baxter-Barrett-Strait, can you imagine that 3-some for years to come?

No, I don't, and I don't understand why some people are infatuated with him. Because he played on Baltimore's defense? Great, so does Will Demps. Do you want him? Is it because he was coached by Donnie Henderson? Do you remember Steve White and Damien Robinson? Just because one of our coaches helped tutor them doesn't mean we should go out and get them whenever they become available.

Fred Smoot is the best cornerback available this offseason. Baxter was a COG in that Ravens defense (a cog they tried to replace with a 37-year old), and Smoot was a CATALYST to the Skins defense.

no freaking way. he was by far the weakest link on the ravens D. if hes so great why would they let him go? they have plenty of cap space... id rather take my chances in the draft for a corner and make a run at adrian wilson the safety from arizona. if not him then get smoot

With Donnie getting old and Barrett not coming back for sure Baxter will be a Jet.

He would be a welcome addition..physical, smart corner that can actually make plays

There is a CB from Oregon or Oregon ST who is 6'4".

He is very fast -sub 4.4 fortey.

He has great ball skills, recovery speed and range.

He is the new prototype for NFL CB's.

He will be moving up the draft boards like crazy, just wait.

He would be a great late 1st round pick.

Then pick a safety and a WR in rounds 2&3.

Deion was signed as a nickelback, he was never signed with the intention of replacing Baxter as a starting CB.

Baxter is a very good player, with good size and playmaking ability. For sure I want him on the Jets, if the price doesn't get too unreasonable. A Barrett-sized contract, or slightly above that, and I'd take him in a second.
