With the story about Quincy and rehab, and with Chad coming off surgery, who can we get, and do we put him ahead of or behind Bollinger?

    Ricky Ray

We don't know, he could be just as good as BB is being hyped up to be. We have Fiedler (another thread) or Doug Johnson (Heim's 3rd QB in Tenn.).

I wouldn't mind drafting Stephan LeFors. He plays smart similiar to Penny. Decent arm, decent accuract... mobile. Not too shabby of a prospect.

I like the (QB) LeFors kid. What round is he expected to go in?

I'm not so sure Carter won't be back next season.

I don't think he gets a suspension. He wasn't busted, he enrolled himself. His value is certainly devalued, he was planning on leaving to try to be a starter. Not going to happen now.

He was 2-1 for the Jets this season. Should have been 3-0. CS staff really lost that game.

Not guaranteeing he will be back, just he could be.

These are my top 3 backup QB options for next season:

    1) Quincy Carter
    2) Kelly Holcomb
    3) Mike McMahon

Any of those 3, and I think we're fine at QB for '05.

Yeah, Quincy could definitely be back. In fact, you could make a case its likely, because how many teams are willing to take a chance on Quincy and make him the starter? I think the list is limited to one: Arizona. Dennis Green LOVES him, and I BELIEVE Josh McCown is a free agent, though I don't know this for sure.

Plus, Quincy got PT last season. With Chad getting surgery, you have to think, if you're Quincy, that there is a chance you will get some snaps again in '05.

    UH.....Brooks Bollinger?

Is that such a bad idea, all considered??

Would we rather have Fielder, the modern "Interception At the Wrong Time" King?

Simple. He couldnt beat out Bollywood.

As for a personal reason, I saw Ricky Ray in camp last year....not impressive at all. Not that Bollinger showed me much either, but I think, no matter how we look at it, we ought to bring SOMEONE IN if we can't keep Quincy.

Ricky Ray's arm makes Chad's arm look like a howitzer!
