seeing how the Redskins would take a $9,000,000.00 cap hit i really cant see this trade going down.. 9 mill is a rather large cap hit. so im guessing that Coles will remain a Redskin next year

I haven't heard anything about what will happen in terms of the money/contracts/bonus.

It's gonna happen. I've heard it here on Jets Insider, on WCBS 880 Radio, and now SI. If it's that close it's gonna happen. I don't know what to think right now. This has a lot to do with Herm and Co. having faith in Cotch stepping it up.

In a rapidly developing story, various media outlets report that a Laveranues Coles-for -Santana Moss deal is ''near'' or possibly ''done.''
CBS.Sportsline.com says it is very close. WFAN in New York says it's done. ESPN says it can only happen once the Redskins rework T Chris Samuels' deal because of cap reasons. Regardless of where the deal is this minute, it looks very likely to happen. Feb. 25 - 11:03 am et

    I don't want ****ing Coles.

    <3 Moss

I just want to know what the Jets would be accomplishing in this trade. Coles is, if at all, a minor upgrade over Moss.

A minor upgrade is still an upgrade buddy

Coles contract is in place for a few years where Santana next year comes up for a new one.

Coles is a physical receiver, something Moss cannot become. Moss looks for the big $ - cannot franchise him next year - he isn't worth $8+million.

Also, if they can get Mason - Mason, Coles , JMac start - Cotchery developed to eventually take over from Mason.

Sign/draft TE and we should be good to go.

The way it sounds right now, this deal is more then likely to occur than all the rumors that were circulating about the JETS acquiring Randy Moss.

the skins should give us a pick too

We should also swapp 3rd rnders with the Skins.

Moss is a punt returner and a WR, as well as healthy.

Coles is just a WR and is coming off of a foot injury.
