I dont know about you guys but at this point I think he's our best option, I wouldn't be too dissapointed if the jets just ended up re-signing him.

That thought has crossed my mind. Mostly because his excellent blocking helps our running game be that much more effective-- but that blocking doesn't trump those stone hands. We can always platoon him with Baker like last year. Or take Heath Miller or Alex Smith and start them right away. And whoever we go with will hopefully be benefitted by our new tight-end coach.

I'd prefer to see what Baker can bring. I'm not opposed to waiting until after the draft to sign a veteran.

time to move into a different direction. Becht isn't the answer.

Kyle Brady is garbage guy never did anything as a Jet and has never done anything as a Jag. If it wasn't for Brady right now we would have Sapp along side Robertson. As far as Becht being the best option, nope. Dilger,Jones, and Lewis in that order. Becht is near the bottom, Dinger needs TEs with HANDS.

Was always a fan favorite, and had HEART more than Ken Dilger

Your sig. is good to go-- they ask for it to be 250x250, and yours is 223x283. BTW, if you want to make me one, I'll owe you a favor

Got a friend that drives Anthony Becht to the airport from time to time.

He told me that Becht was very disappointed that he was only thrown the ball 17 times during the year.

He said that the drops were magnified by the media.

    Putz actually had more drops.

I got the feeling that Becht wouldn't resign with the Jets even if we wanted him........

Stephen Alexander is better than Becht ... not by a mile, but better IMHO

But honestly speaking, I'm hoping we're finished with AB ... I'd rather draft a young TE than bring AB back

Nothing personal, he just gives me a bad vibe ... reminds me of a blown 1st RD Pick ... bad karma

The biggest problem with Anthony Becht is not that he drops passes, but the kind of passes he drops, and when he drops them.

Let`s put it this way,Wayne crebet was an undrafted Free agent, and Anthony becht a 1st rounder.Chrebet is everything right that`s wrong with becht.

Good point. Last night I was watching the 2nd Buffalo game from last year that I had TIVO'd and he dropped a pass that was right at his chest, right on the goal line- not a defender anywhere near him.
