    Staring Cornerback Duo?

i would say that it is going to be law and barret.

maybe its just wishful thinking, or maybe it is intuition. take it for what its worth

Law and Barrett, no doubt. I'm very confident in us signing Law.

Barrett and Strait. You can write that down now in ink, not pencil.

I was thinking the same thing. Funny cause it's not even one of the choices on the poll but it's the most realistic in my opinion.

That's pretty funny but I don't think Robin is going to be wearing Green and White this season.

It'll probably be Abraham and Barrett and I'm thinking along the terms of what the coaching staff thinks of these players.

Likely? Barrett And Abe or Strait. Since Barrett and Strait isn;t up there (Or is it and I'm just stupid?) then I choose Barrett and Miller, since I think Abe will still retire.

what about ray mickens? if donnie retires and the jets dont sign law then i dont think the jets will start a rookie in the first game unless he was outstanding in camp. and i dont think strait would start over mickens

There's still no guarantee that Donnie A. is coming back, he's still up in the air about it last I heard. If he has to think about it this long, in my opinion, it's time to hang it up.

Exactly - if Abraham retires and the Jets don't add a Law, Taylor or McQuarters then Ray Mickens is a sure-fire starter on opening day opposite Barrett. The Jets prefer Strait as a nickelback and Justin Miller is way, way, WAAAYYYYY too raw to start on opening day - he is athletically gifted but needs a lot of work on technique.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Law/Barrett. My feelings is assuming Law can still play at a high level and we could afford him, he would put us OVER THE TOP. The last addition to a championship puzzle. This would allow us to utilize a top notch corner that Herm has coveted for so long......

Barrett and either Donnie (if he's there) or Strait. I think Mickens will be the Nickel, with Miller starting as the dime, and slowly moving in.

I voted for what I want: Barrett and Law...

However I have no idea on what it will be. If Abe retires than I think it's more likely. If he stays I think he will start game 1 but by 6 one of the youngsters will be starting...

Barrett and Miller is the combo I'd like to see start for us. Even with us having a rookie CB start, that's still a much better starting CB corp than last year. I expect Barrett to pick up where he left off last year (the playoff game vs. Pitt showed us what he's capable of), and Miller will improve as the season goes on. We can always cheat Coleman over to help Miller's side of the field until he can hold his own.
