    If Bradway were smart

If Bradway were smart they'd take care of Abraham's contract while he's still cheap. We can't have QBs standing back there with their feet planted throwing darts at our secondary.

Abraham is cheapest now while his value is diminished by his injury history. The only way he's cheaper is if he comes in late and gets injured.

We need him healthy so if we're so positive about this super bowl talk, we're all expecting him to have a pro bowl year. and we all expect the Jets defense to do well. Don't we?

How much do you think he'll be asking for next off season when we win the super bowl and he has 20 sacks?

Probably a lot more than we can sign him to now. Get it?

So if Bradway were smart, he'd sign him to a contract now with incentives we not only shave off of the 6.7 million he costs the cap this year to get some added depth.

We'll keep him happy, get him some reps at practice which will contribute to his health, and save money in the long run.

    What's there not to get?

Good points Screenpass. He wouldn't be able to demand an 18 mil signing bonus right now after last year's injuries.

I totally agree. Lock the kid up. The Jets have no pass rush without him. Abe has a history of injuries, but so does Pennington.
